M7788 – I stared at this pattern for weeks trying to figure out the best fabric to use. I really wanted to color block the trim to the shell, but had a hard time deciding what to use. Finally, I opted for this chino that was 70% off from JoAnn’s in the Tropic Time collection.
It is a wrap jumpsuit, and the fit is absolutely beautiful. The seams in the bodice flow well across the front, creating a really defined silhouette. I chose not to attach pants to the bodice because I did not want to measure it to fit my torso. That one act of “laziness”, turned out to be a win.
I totally love each piece as separates. I probably will not make this entire outfit again, but I do want to make another half-wrap top.
